The Pyramid Health and Social Care Association (PHASCA) was established by National Health Service (NHS) professionals in 1999 to promote the psychological, physical and social well-being of socially excluded communities in the London Borough of Haringey. PHASCA provides counselling, psychotherapy, training and a homework club network to the local communities. We have an ambitious 2 year strategic plan which includes developing current services and identifying new initiatives.

We are looking for a manager with the skills, experience and enthusiasm to manage the delivery of our range of health and social care services. You will be responsible for the overall operational management of these services and will line manage a team of two part time staff and ten volunteers.

Key qualities include:

• A strong understanding of the challenges faced by small community organisations particularly in the health and social care sector.
• Sound understanding of the government’s Every Child Matters programme
• Experience of monitoring service delivery against targets
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to research and identify emerging needs, responding promptly and effectively
• Good IT, budgetary and income generation skills
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Commitment to implementing equality and diversity
• A satisfactory Enhanced CRB disclosure

The post is subject to a six month probationary period

Number of hours per week: 35

Annual leave: 28 days
