GP - Data Quality Manager/HCA
Our client a busy well run GP surgery based in South West London are looking for a diverse candidate to fill the role of Data Quality Manager and HCA (inc Phlebotomy training could be provided for the right candidate)
The main responsibilities of the Data Quality Manager and Healthcare Assistant will include; clinical summarising, read code relevant information from patients records and hospital letters, overall responsibility of data quality, carry out all audits and analyzing data from Practice Focus to ensure all coding is amended as required, also to take the lead in ensuring QOF targets are met.
In addition to the above the post requires someone who is willing to develop their skills in phlebotomy and take and active lead in advising and taking on new health promotion activities, the role as Data Quality Manager will be 3 days a week, and you will be carrying out HCA tasks for other days.
Main duties/Key Tasks:
- Read coding
- Review of medical records and producing summary of patients history
- Advising GPs and nurses on coding issues
- To run Miquest queries each month
- To liaise with the QOF leads and take actions required to achieve max points
- Collection of samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being
Personal Specification:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Willingness to undergo training where needed
- Good working knowledge of Emis & QOF
- Sound IT knowledge
- Understanding of the health sector ideally health promotion
For this post it is essential to have a working knowledge of Emis PCS (ideally) and QOF, so you would have experience of working in a similar setting i.e. GP.
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000pa (depending on experience)
Location - South West London
Permanent Full-Time 36 hours per week
