Our client is looking for a Refuge Worker to join one of their most established East Sussex based teams. The team supports abused women and their children living in refuges and they need someone who has outstanding knowledge in this area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated candidate to gain more experience in the supported housing sector and to work within a large, successful charity.

Responsibilities will include:
Providing support to abused women and their children living in refuges.
Provide general counselling and support to residents
Conducting keyworking sessions and risk assessments
Providing advice on all aspects of housing, including rent arrears, housing benefits and budget maximisation
Giving clients legal advice and accompanying them to court
Liaising with external agencies

Candidates for the post will need:

Experience providing support to abused women and their children living in refuges.
Excellent understanding of legislation
Good experience of liaising with external agencies
An enhanced CRB disclosure issued within the last 12 months
