As Support Worker, you’ll provide essential assistance to our residents and other clients using our Day Service – reflecting our therapeutic person-focused approach in everything you do, as you enable people with mental health issues to live fuller and more independent lives.
The role will involve:
• Helping to develop and deliver intensive housing support
• Building robust, lasting partnerships with a wide range of other professionals
• Managing your own caseload
• Providing clients with essential practical and emotional support, with the constant aim of increasing their independence and self-esteem
• Helping them to develop their skills and potential to the full, while encouraging them to get involved in community life and maintain successful tenancies
• Developing personal support plans and risk assessments
• Participating in group clinical supervisions
• Supporting the role and function of therapy within the community
You’ll need:
• Some mental health experience
• A track record of helping people access community activities and engage with them
• Capacity to work on an on-call rota, including overnights and weekends
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• IT literacy including knowledge of Word and databases
• Impressive admin skills, with the ability to keep detailed, up-to-date records
• A dynamic, creative and flexible approach to problem-solving
• Ability to maintain strong, lasting partnerships with a range of external organisations and professionals
