You’ll provide emotional and practical support to our service users, enabling them to gain increasing independence and develop their full potential. This will include:

- Participating in practical-based and therapeutic groups
- Facilitating the sharing of experiences and the teaching of new skills
- Helping to enable service users to communicate and express their needs
- Developing individual support plan helping residents to develop appropriate coping strategies for managing their difficulties
- Involving and empower service users, giving them the opportunity to influence the services they receive.
- Assisting in the selection of volunteers and the induction of new staff
- Keeping detailed records, writing reports
- Promoting our aims and objectives.
- Working closely with a wide range of other statutory and voluntary agencies.

About You:
- Background in supporting people who have mental health issues
- Commitment to empowering service users and ability to engage them in developmental and rehabilitative activities
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Must have or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 3.
- The ability to work a varied shift pattern is essential
