Our client is a local authority currently looking for an experienced social worker within the unaccompanied Asylum Seekers Team to work on duty and long term planning. CAFRASS Manchester Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children s Service has been set up since 2006. It is a service for young people from abroad who enter the UK without their parents or an appropriate adult to seek asylum. CAFRASS aims to support young people and help them reach their full potential. The role is to achieve this through the five outcomes outlined in the Children Act 1989 and 2004 Every Child Matters and the Children and Young Persons Bill 2008. You will have previous experience of working with this client group.
An enhanced CRB disclosure is required for the role as is a car driver with driving licence and business insurance.
