You’ll provide emotional and practical support to our service users, enabling them to gain increasing independence and develop their full potential. This will include:

• Managing a caseload of service users, enabling them to participate in community life and maintaining a successful tenancy
• Supporting service users in developing personal support plans addressing their full range of needs
• Helping the residents to access local community services, work and educational opportunities
• Supporting service users in the development of personal and life skills with the aim of attaining greater independence
• Work closely with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations, making sure clients are referred to appropriate agencies for advice and counselling
• Develop close links with the local community, promoting a greater understanding of mental health issues

About you:
• Experience of working in mental health or a related setting
• A flexible, positive and creative approach, and excellent communication skills
• Able to engage service users in a wide range of developmental and rehabilitative activities
• Strong motivational, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Able to identify and co-ordinate a range of services to meet individual needs
• Good IT skills, including Word, email and databases
• Ability to work flexible hours
